Match report On a boiling hot day in extra sunny Bishops Stortford, Hutton won the toss and elected to field. The Bishops Stortford openers appeared untroubled by the heat as they put on 72 before the first wicket fell. Thereafter wickets fell at regular intervals but not before Hutton had suffered a couple of casualties due to the heat and the home side had amassed a whopping 158. In the second innings, the visitors started positively and were neck and neck on the run rate after 6 overs. Unfortunately they were also 5 wickets down and staring at the possibility of a heavy defeat. Georgie Spotswood had other ideas and played a fantastic innings, scoring a mammoth 66 in partnerships of firstly 44 with Keelah Taylor and then 97 with Nina Kennon before being caught. This was a stunning effort by Georgie and both Keelah and Nina did a brilliant job of supporting her, running the extras and rotating the strike. Sadly, the effort was in vain as Hutton fell 14 runs short but it was a game to remember for Georgie and the team. It was also a game that was played so well by Hutton that the professional umpire who ran the match took the time to write and compliment the team on their fighting spirit. Well done Eagles - getting closer.
