Code of Conduct

 

Hutton Cricket Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well being of all its members. The club believes that it is important that all members, coaches administrators and parents associated with the club shall at all times show respect, be open and share concerns or complaints about any aspect of the club with the Youth Organiser.

 

All members of the club are expected to abide by the following Code of Conduct and any member in breach may face disciplinary action:

 

Players

  • All members must play within the rules and respect officials and their decisions
  • All members must respect their opponents
  • All members must avoid bad language and any form of physical violence
  • Members should keep to agreed timings for coaching practice and matches and inform their Coach / Team Manager if they are going to be late
  • Members must wear suitable kit as agreed with the Coach / Team Manager. Protective equipment i.e. Helmet, cricket box, gloves, pads and footwear are compulsory
  • Players are expected to attend all training sessions
  • All subscriptions must be paid by 1st May 2010
  • Youth Members are not allowed to smoke on club premises or whilst representing the club in matches or at coaching sessions
  • Youth Members are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on the club premises or whilst representing the club

 

Parents / Carers

 

  • Encourage your child to learn the rules and play within them at all times
  • Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials
  • Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performances of all
  • Not coach from the sidelines
  • Never force your child to take part in sport
  • Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes
  • Publicly accept officials judgements
  • Support your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their sport
  • Use correct and proper language at all times and refrain from physical violence
  • Offer help as required

 

Players, officials, members and supporters must adhere to Hutton Cricket Club’s Code of Conduct, which prohibits racially abusive comments and actions against fellow players, officials, members, supporters and employees.
